CALABASAS, Calif. (AP) – Authorities outside Los Angeles are investigating claims made by a neighbor of Justin Bieber who says Bieber attacked and threatened him. What exactly happened is not clear, not even who called authorities or whether there have been previous problems. No one was arrested. Bieber’s schedule indicates he’s in the middle of a European tour and was in Poland on Monday. Bieber’s representative did not return calls for comment.
NEW YORK (AP) – Justin Timberlake has had a monster debut for his new album. Nielsen SoundScan says “The 20/20 Experience” has sold 968,000 copies in its first week. Just to show how big that is, Matchbox 20 got their first number-one album in September when “North” sold 95,000 copies. In the past 12 years, 19 albums have sold more than 900,000 in a single week, and Timberlake has had a hand in three of them. Besides “The 20/20 Experience,” ‘N Sync’s “No Strings Attached” sold 2.4 million in 2000 and “Celebrity” sold 1.9 million in 2001.
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Dorothy Hamill is out on “Dancing With the Stars.” But she wasn’t voted off. The Olympic Gold Medalist is withdrawing for medical reasons. At the end of last night’s show, Hamill said her spine surgeon warned should could suffer irreparable nerve damage. Hamill said it wouldn’t be fair for her to stay in the competition if she couldn’t give it her all. Hamill was in tears and said it’s been a wonderful ride. Because of Hamill’s withdrawal, no one was voted off last night. The lowest vote-getter wasn’t revealed. But only Lisa Vanderpump and Victor Ortiz hadn’t learned their fate when Hamill made her announcement.
Blake Shelton knows voices and he knows hair. On “The Voice” last night, Shelton told male model Josiah Hawley he’s a “badass” singer, with “badass” hair. But Josiah decides to go with Team Usher. Shelton wasn’t able to add any singers to his team. Shakira lands a singer from Nashville and a music business student. To get the woman from Nashville, Shakira pulled out an “English to Country” dictionary. Team Adam picks up a folk duo, the first duo he’s ever coached.
It’s Motown week on “American Idol.” The eight remaining contestants will sing songs recorded in Detroit tonight. Tomorrow, Idol celebrates its 450th episode. Colton Dixon will perform. Then, another singer will be sent home.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) – A guitar that George Harrison and John Lennon both played is up for auction. Harrison played it while practicing “I Am The Walrus” during “Magical Mystery Tour,” and Lennon played it while recording a video session for “Hello, Goodbye.” Julien’s Auctions estimates it will sell for between $200,000 and $300,000. The auction also includes a cape that Elvis had designed for his “Aloha From Hawaii” TV concert that was so heavy it dragged Elvis to the floor, so he didn’t use it. That’s estimated at $120,000. Six David Cassidy jumpsuits, a bright pink hand-painted Bette Midler costume and an autographed pillow Michael Jackson threw out of a Paris hotel window are also for sale. The auction happens May 18 in New York.
UNDATED (AP) – The “Young and the Restless” is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The CBS show debuted on March 26, 1973. It’s been daytime’s top-rated soap since 1988. Now, the network says the show is looking to the future by adding younger members to the cast that includes such long-running characters as Nikki and Victor, and Katherine Chancellor. Y-and-R says it also works to hang on to fans through video chats, and getting the veterans to join their younger cast mates on Twitter.
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Usher might want to brush up on his geography. He and Shakira are the new coaches on this season of “The Voice.” In last night’s debut, Usher was trying to win over a 16-year-old girl from Texas. She’s a country singer and Usher seemed a little confused whether Nashville is a city or state. Blake Shelton chimed in that Nashville is more like a state of mind. Team Usher picks up two singers. Team Blake picks of four singers, but just three acts. The first act to audition were twin blondes from western New York and they joined Team Blake. Shakira gets a pair of singers and Adam Levine gets one.
Meanwhile, D.L. could be D.O.A. on tonight’s “Dancing With the Stars.” While the judges the say D.L. Hughley has improved, he still lags far behind the pack. His scores picked up a bit, too. But Hughley jokes the judges had used up all of their 4s on him last week. Disney kid Zendaya leads again in week two. Kellie Pickler is coming on strong, as well. She even made partner Derek Hough (huf) bleed a bit during their routine. Tonight we’ll see the first elimination of season. Last week’s scores are combined with this week’s to determine who’s going home.
