NASHVILLE (AP) – Jason Aldean and actress Kristen Bell will co-host the CMT Music Awards. Nominations will be announced today. The awards are set for June 5 in Nashville and they will be shown on CMT and CMT.com.

MOUNT VERNON, Va. (AP) – The hockey playing Battaglia brothers win a million dollars on “The Amazing Race.” Bates and Anthony Battaglia say the experiences they had were — well — amazing. They add their victory is sweeter because they competed as brothers. The final leg took the last three teams to the Washington DC area. The finish line was the Mount Vernon, Virginia, estate of George Washington. Newlyweds Katie and Max Bichler came in second. They say the competition helped them to grow closer as a couple.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – The six remaining couples will do two routines on “Dancing With the Stars” tonight. They’ll start with a traditional ballroom dance they haven’t done before. Then, each couple will dance with one of the eliminated pros or a troupe member. Viewers will be asked to vote on Twitter for a new dance style for each couple to perform next week. They can choose from Afro-Jazz, Disco, Flamenco, Hip-hop, Lindyhop or Charleston. Tomorrow night, Jason DeRulo will perform.

Alicia Keys and Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina will perform on the “American Idol” results show on Thursday. Keys will sing “Tears Always Win,” and Alaina will sing “Barefoot and Buckwild.” The top three contestants — Kree Harrison, Candice Glover and Angie Miller — will perform three songs each on Wednesday’s show. One is a song chosen by the judges, one is a song they choose themselves and one is chosen by mentor Jimmy Iovine.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – “Iron Man” is showing no signs of rust.

Robert Downey Junior returns as the metallic marvel. Iron Man 3 opens with more than $175 million. That’s the second best opening ever — behind only “The Avengers” a year ago, which also featured the Marvel Comics superheroes. Worldwide the latest Iron Man has topped 680 mil.

“Pain and Gain” is a distant second this weekend — followed by “42” and “Oblivion.”

NEW YORK (AP) – The man who helped bring Nicki Minaj into the spotlight will share the spotlight with her at the Billboard Music Awards. Lil Wayne will team up with Minaj for a performance at the ceremony set for May 19 in Las Vegas. Others added to the list of performers include Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, David Guetta, Akon, Ne-Yo and Icona Pop. Also to perform: Prince, who will get the icon award at the ceremony.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – That didn’t last long. Lindsay Lohan has apparently left a Southern California rehab facility. Lohan only spent a few minutes at Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach. The L-A Times reports prosecutors say Lohan is apparently in violation of her probation after leaving rehab. No comment yet from Lohan’s lawyer or her publicist. Prosecutors say they were blind-sided by Lohan’s decision to check into Morningside, which isn’t licensed for the sort of locked-down treatment the court ordered for 90 days.

ATLANTA (AP) – A dash-cam video of Reese Witherspoon’s recent disorderly conduct arrest provides a rare glimpse of one of Hollywood’s best-known actresses unfiltered as she takes on a no-nonsense Georgia state trooper following a traffic stop.

In video of the April 19 early-morning incident in Atlanta, posted Thursday by the website TMZ, the 37-year-old actress seeks to intercede as her husband is being administered a field sobriety test by the trooper.

Trooper First Class J. Pyland repeatedly tells Witherspoon to stay in the car. Witherspoon is equally determined to get out and engage him, even at one point feigning to be pregnant.

Earlier Thursday, the actress appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” to apologize for her behavior, acknowledging that she said “all kinds of crazy things.”
