LOS ANGELES (AP) – Kellie Pickler didn’t win on “American Idol.” But she does on “Dancing With the Stars.” The country singer looked shocked as host Tom Bergeron announced that she and pro partner Derek Hough (HUF) win the mirrorball trophy. She screamed “Oh my God!” Pickler got two sets of perfect 10s from the judges Monday night and another last night. But so did runner-up Zendaya. The Disney kid had a lead of a single point going into last night’s finale. But it was the viewer votes that put Pickler over the top. Football pro Jacoby Jones finishes in third place. Because there were problems with voting on the ABC website during Monday’s East Coast broadcast, those votes didn’t count. Only votes cast by phone, text and Facebook figured into the final count.

Shakira and Usher are slowly losing their chances of winning on “The Voice.” Kris Thomas from Team Shakira and Josiah Hawley from Team Usher were eliminated last night. That leaves just Sasha Allen on Team Shakira and Michelle Chamuel (sham-yoo-EL’) on Team Usher, while Adam Levine and Blake Shelton still have three acts each on their teams. Last night’s show also turned into an impromptu telethon for the Red Cross to benefit victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes. Shelton and his wife, Miranda Lambert, opened the show by performing “Over You.” The coaches performed songs with their teams while a plea for Red Cross donations was flashed on the screen.

NEW YORK (AP) – Candice Glover is the winner of “American Idol,” but Idol is the loser. About 14 million people watched the finale. That’s less than half the 29 million people who watched just two years ago. It was good enough for third place in the ratings. Ten years ago, Idol peaked with 38 million viewers for the finale. The “Dancing With the Stars” performance episode was watched by more than 13 million people. The results show scored fewer than 12 million. Only one episode of “The Voice” made it into the top 10. As usual, “NCIS: Los Angeles” was the most-watched show of the week with nearly 19 million viewers.

BERLIN (AP) – Justin Bieber didn’t move – so he loses his pet monkey. Officials in Munich say the capuchin monkey Bieber tried to bring into the country while on tour is now the property of the German government. The pet was seized when The Beeb couldn’t produce the proper documents at customs. He was given a deadline to send in the papers, but that time has come and gone. Bieber can appeal – he has six weeks to make his case. The monkey, named Mally, is being cared for at an animal shelter in Munich. The shelter has criticized Bieber for keeping such a young monkey as a pet. Experts also say capuchin monkeys are social, and need to be kept in groups, not alone. They are also billing Bieber for the thousands of dollars spent for Mally’s care.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Toby Keith says he left Moore, Oklahoma just hours before a massive tornado devastated parts of his hometown. He says he left the area around noon – and noticed that the growing number of clouds gave him a bad feeling. After he got to his Nashville, Tennessee studio Monday afternoon, he saw news reports showing the storm was taking aim at Moore. He called his sister to warn her – but she had already taken shelter. Keith says over the years he has “been in so many” tornadoes – and that they affect “somebody you know, every time.” Keith says he is considering doing a benefit for tornado victims. He hopes he and other musicians “can use music to heal some of the money problems right away.”

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Candice Glover just proved it’s worth it to keep trying. She won “American Idol,” beating out Kree Harrison. Glover had tried out two years ago and didn’t make it, and she auditioned last year but was cut in the Las Vegas round. After her win, all Glover could say was “three years.” Her album is already available for pre-order, even though it probably won’t come out until November. Congratulations to Glover — now get ready for her replacement. Online auditions for next season opened at the end of last night’s show. In-person auditions begin July 16 in San Francisco.

NEW YORK (AP) – Dwight married Angela. Michael comes back as Dwight’s best man. Pam and Jim leave Scranton, Pennsylvania for Austin, Texas – and Creed Bratton is weird.

OK, so you didn’t need last night’s finale to know about Creed, but the end of the NBC workplace comedy helped tie up those other loose ends. Last night’s episode ends the show’s 8-year-run. Michael Scott – played by Steve Carell – returned for the finale. He ends up subbing for Jim as Dwight’s best man when he ties the knot with Angela. That gave viewers the another chance to hear one of the show’s many enduring catch-phrases. When Dwight tells Michael he thought he’d never come – to the wedding that is – the predictable reply was: “that’s what she said.”

“The Office” first aired in 2005. It was based on the British comedy of the same name, which starred and was co-created by Ricky Gervais.

BERLIN (AP) – German officials say Justin Bieber will have to pay the bill for his monkey’s two-month stay at a Munich animal shelter.

A spokesman for Munich’s customs office says the cost of care, food and vet visits for capuchin monkey Mally is several thousand euros (dollars).

Customs spokesman Thomas Meister says Bieber has until midnight Friday to claim the monkey seized by authorities March 28 when the singer failed to produce its papers after landing in Munich on tour.

The shelter says his management company has asked that the 20-week-old monkey be placed in a zoo.

But customs has yet to receive a formal request for that from Bieber or an authorized representative.
