BIEBER: “ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A GRAMMY NOMINATION!” GRAMMYS: “HERE, HAVE SOME COAL.”

UNDATED (AP) – Justin Bieber must be thinking that the Recording Academy just doesn’t like him. He didn’t get a single Grammy nomination.

His manager, Scooter Braun, went off about that on Twitter, saying the Grammys “blew it on this one.” Braun argues Bieber released a successful album with “Believe” and had a sold-out tour this year. Bieber also was the big winner just a few weeks ago at the American Music Awards.

Bieber was considered a shoo-in to win the Best New Artist Grammy in 2011 but was upset by Esperanza Spalding. Braun says to the fans, “Looks like we get to stay the underdog a little longer.” Spalding, by the way, got three nominations this year.

CLINT BLACK: NEW MUSIC IN THE WORKS

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Clint Black is putting together his first all-new studio album in seven years. Black tells Billboard he’s wrapping up an album and is in talks with a record company, but he may leak some songs so fans can hear them first. Black has not released an album since “Drinkin’ Songs and Other Logic” in 2005. In the meantime, he’s been working on a Broadway-style show for arenas called “Aussie Adventure,” set on an Australian ranch in 1901 that involves horses and country dancing.

MARIO LOPEZ WEDDING PARTY “CRAZY” (YEAH, IT’S…UH…KIND OF A SLOW DAY)

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) – Mario Lopez’s wedding party got wild after the tequila started flowing. Lopez tells Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that his bride Courtney Mazza jumped in the pool with her wedding dress on and Lopez and their guests followed in their clothes. Even Eva Longoria did it. Lopez says “it got a little crazy.” He says he and Mazza will wait for a honeymoon until he gets a break.

SIX ACTS TIE FOR MOST GRAMMY NODS

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) – This year’s Grammy nominations reflect the state of the music industry this year – lots of big single hits – few big hit albums. Unlike last year, when Adele’s “21” was the big album of the year and she got a lot of nods, this year, the wealth was spread among 6 acts, who ended up with 6 nominations each. The half-dozen artists with the half dozen nods are .fun, Frank Ocean, Dan Aurebach of The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons, as well as rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z. Song of the year nominees were Ed Sheeran’s “The A Team,” Miguel’s “Adorn,” Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and fun.’s “We Are Young.” Miguel, The Black Keys and Chick Corea all have five nominations. Nas is among three artists with our nods. And 16 artists have three nods – among them Gotye, Drake, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Jack White.

Winners will be announced on February 10 at a live ceremony set for the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
