Lincoln County Court records say 28-year-old Sarah Jones also was fined $500 Thursday and her driver’s license was revoked for 60 days. She’d pleaded no contest to driving under the influence. Prosecutors lowered the charge and dropped another in return.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies responded April 19 to a report of a crash on U.S. Highway 83 and found a pickup truck on its side and a sedan with heavy front-end damage. The pickup’s occupants were uninjured, but Jones — who was driving the car — was taken to a hospital for treatment. Deputies say her blood alcohol level tested at more than twice the legal limit to drive.
