After the first day of competition in Olympic Skeet Shooting, 2006 Alliance High School graduate Frank Thompson is in 8th place.

Thompson’s competition, which is a qualification round, began at 2 a.m. (MDT).

Thompson’s scores were 24, 23, and 24 of a possible 25 targets, or 71 of 75.

Thompson will compete in two more rounds on Tuesday.
