The DOVES domestic violence support program has closed its Chadron office, but executive director Hilary Wasserburger says it’s only temporary…the result of a staff resignation.
She’s not sure when the vacancy will be filled and the office will again handle walk-in traffic, but emphasizes that anyone needing help in the Chadron-Highway 20 area can still receive it at any time through the DOVES 24-hour-hotline at 866-95-DOVES or by the internet at www.DOVESProgram.com
DOVES opened offices in Chadron and Alliance in the summer of 2010, taking over for Family Rescue Services. It now has 5 offices serving 9 counties with a variety of services for victims of domestic and sexual violence and abuse.
