DICKINSON, N.D. – The Dickinson State University wrestling team took advantage of a short-handed Chadron State squad en route to a 45-6 non-conference dual victory Wednesday evening.

The Blue Hawks won six of seven matches – the Eagles were open in three weight classes – and improved to 2-0 this season against CSC.

True freshman Bryce Wiedeman was the lone CSC wrestler to earn a win when he pinned Jonathan Morales near the end of the second period. Wiedeman is now 17-12 this season, including 13 wins by pin.

The Blue Hawks earned bonus points in six of their wins. Their remaining three victories were all decisions but Chadron State wrestlers were unable to score any points.

The Eagles, now 6-7 this season, will host Western State Saturday in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference dual. The first match begins at 7 p.m.
