Chadron High School senior Cort Goffena was crowned Tuesday night as Mr CHS 2013 in a light-hearted pageant that served as a fundraiser for the school’s chapter of FBLA…Future Business Leaders of America.

This year’s 8 entrants squared off in very loosely defined categories of competition including evening wear…where the outfits ranged from men’s suits to a woman’s evening gown to a bathrobe and bunny slippers…and talent…which included weightlifter-style posing.

Each contestant also answered an on-stage question from Miss Alliance Outstanding Teen Mikaela Hastings, who won her own crown only this past Sunday.

Finishing just behind Goffena as 1st runner-up was fellow senior Michael Kruse, while  Alec Burke was Mr Congeniality and Zach Fankhauser won the People’s Choice award
