KAUFMAN FREE ON BOND, P-H SET FOR FRIDAY

The Cheyenne man facing 4 felony counts in Wyoming for last month’s fatal traffic accident that killed two Scottsbluff teenagers is free on $50,000 bail and awaiting a preliminary hearing Friday in Torrington.

22 year old Ethan Kaufman is being represented by Public Defender Eric Palen of Douglas on two counts of aggravated homicide by a vehicle and 2 counts of drunk driving causing serious bodily injury.

Kaufman was the driver of a pickup that rolled January 9th just west of the Wyoming/Nebraska State line, killing 18 year old Alexis Wheeler and 19 year old Hallie Anderson…both of Scottsbluff…and injuring two passengers, also from Nebraska…Tyler Hill of Lyman and Stetson Allen of Morrill.
