The City of Chadron will be closings several blocks in and around the downtown area in conjunction with the Fur Trade Days activities. Below is a summary of the major closures and along with dates for the closures:

Friday July 6 Starting at Noon thru Sunday July 15

Chadron Ave – From 3rd Street (Highway 20) to 2nd Street for the setup and operations of the carnival which will take place at the city parking lot on Chadron Ave. Please be advised there will be no parking within the city parking lot on Chadron Ave starting Friday July 6 until Sunday July 15.

Friday July 13 Starting at Noon thru Sunday July 15

Chadron Ave – From 2nd Street to approximately 200 feet north of 2nd Street

Main Street – From 3rd Street (Highway 20) to approximately 150 feet south of 1st Street

2nd Street – From approximately 100 feet east of Chadron Ave to Bordeaux Street

All street closures will be back open for public use after Sunday July 15. During the closure time please follow all regulatory signs to include any temporary ‘No Parking” signs. In addition, please follow all traffic laws and temporary signage. Alternate routes in and around the road closures include Bordeaux Street or Morehead Street. The alleys located within this area will have limited access to delivery vehicles only. Driveways within this area will be closed as well. Main Street will have additional temporary closures during the parade which are not included herein.
