September 26th also happens to be the birthday of Donna Douglas, who played Jed’s daughter (and friend to all critters) Elly May.

JASON'S YOUTUBE FLASHBACK! 9/25/12

On this date in 1965, the “Beatles” Saturday morning cartoon series premiered on ABC.  Although the Fab Four’s music was used extensively in each episode, the voices of John, Paul, George and Ringo were supplied by actors.  In fact, two of the Beatles were voiced by Paul Frees, who also spoke for Boris Badenov, The Pilsbury Doughboy and Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion “ghost host.”

NEW YORK (AP) – Paul McCartney can play dozens of musical instruments, but he plays none of them on his new DVD. McCartney only sings on his “Live Kisses” concert film. His band consists of most of the same players from his “Kisses on the Bottom” album, including jazz musician Diana Krall. Joe Walsh is a guest musician. The concert was recorded at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. Bonus material on the DVD includes an interview with McCartney, a behind-the-scenes look at his daughter shooting the “Kisses on the Bottom” cover, and six versions of the “My Valentine” music video. “Live Kisses” comes out November 13.
