The Box Butte County Spelling bee winners from Tuesday’s competition are:
1st Grace Tolstedt
2nd Ben Nollette
3rd Rachel Baker
There were 58 competitors from 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Competing school included Alliance Middle School and Hemmingford. Winner advances to the state spelling bee.
The results from Tuesday’s Chadron Middle School Spelling Bee:
1st Place- Greta Welch- 8th Grader
2nd Place- Walt Mays- 8th Grader
3rd Place- Savanna Sayaloune- 5th Grader
These three students will compete in the Dawes County Spelling Bee, which will be Tuesday, Feb. 26th in the Chadron Middle School library at 3:30. The winner of this bee will advance to the Midwest Spelling Bee in Omaha in March.
