LOS ANGELES (AP) – Now you can smell as well as watch “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” You’ll need scratch-and-sniff cards that were given out by TLC and were also in copies of some magazines. Six times during the season premiere on July 17 you’ll be asked to scratch one of the cards to get the smell of whatever’s on the screen. It could be a hog that was killed on the road, wrestlers or anything else that pops up during the show. However, you won’t get to smell Honey Boo Boo or Mama June. None of the cards is linked to a person on the show.

NEW YORK (AP) – Elisabeth Hasselbeck is changing networks and will be reporting for work much earlier. FOX News says Hasselbeck will be one of the hosts of its three-hour morning show “Fox & Friends.” Her last day on ABC’s “The View” is today. On FOX, Hasselbeck replaces Gretchen Carlson, who is expected to get a new show on the network. Elisabeth Hasselbeck parlayed her popularity as a contestant on “Survivor” into a job on Barbara Walters’ daytime show in 2003. She’s politically more conservative than her co-hosts on “The View,” which often led to some contentious moments. Rumors that Hasselbeck was leaving first surfaced in March, drawing a heated denial from Walters at the time. She also said it was not true that Hasselbeck’s political views made her unpopular at “The View.”

NASHVILLE (AP) – Randy Travis is hospitalized in critical condition in Nashville. His publicist says he’s being treated for viral cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that weakens and enlarges the heart and makes it harder for it to pump blood.

Travis, who is 54, has been in the hospital since Sunday. Travis hit a rough patch in the past year. He was arrested last year when he was found naked after crashing his Pontiac Trans Am. He pleaded guilty in January to driving while intoxicated.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Tom Bergeron can see why the Tuesday night results show has been cut from “Dancing With the Stars,” but he hopes they don’t tinker with the judges. There’s been some talk about maybe adding a judge or perhaps replacing one or more judges. Bergeron says he understands that “everthing’s being looked at,” but he’d “hate to see it” happen.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Paula Abdul will be a guest judge on “So You Think You Can Dance” tonight. She’ll help critique the Top 18 finalists.

ABC has renewed “Extreme Weight Loss” for a fourth season. Chris Powell return as host and trainer. Production has already begun. The series could be back next summer.

LONDON (AP) – Elton John has canceled a show in London’s Hyde Park after being diagnosed with appendicitis that will require surgery.

A statement issued Tuesday by the musician’s publicist said John was suffering from an inflamed appendix and surrounding abscess.

He has been advised by doctors to cancel his concerts while he undergoes a regime of antibiotics to treat the abscess. That will be followed by surgery in the next few weeks.

The statement said John fell ill during his recent European tour, but “is eager to be back on top form and return to play the remaining shows starting in early September 2013.”

The 66-year-old performer had been due to play an outdoor concert in London’s Hyde Park on Friday on a bill with Elvis Costello and Ray Davies.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – “Despicable Me 2” dominated the holiday weekend. It took in more than $142 million across the five-day Fourth of July holiday period. But Johnny Depp’s Western “The Lone Ranger” misfires. The big budget production opens in distant second, with just under 50 mil. The Lone Ranger was put together by the same team at Disney that created the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. Studio officials say they’re disappointed The Lone Ranger hasn’t attracted younger movie fans. “The Heat” was third this weekend, followed by “Monsters University” and “World War Z.”

LOS ANGELES (AP) – The replica Ferrari from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” is on the auction block. A real Ferrari would be worth $350,000. This is one of three replicas. The first two were smashed for the scene where the car accidentally sped backwards out of Cameron’s father’s garage and into a ravine. This is the one that was driven by the guys from the parking garage. Auctioneers say it could go for as much as $100,000.
