RUSH LEADS ROCK HALL FAN VOTE (BOB AND DOUG MCKENZIE STUFFING BALLOT BOX?)

CLEVELAND (AP) – Rock fans have long complained about who has been overlooked for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They’re coming out in force to push Rush for induction. This year, the Rock Hall is letting fans vote on who should be inducted, and those votes will be considered in deciding the inductees. Rush leads the fan poll with 24.3 percent of the vote. Deep Purple is second with 17.1 percent, and Heart is third with 12.4 percent. You can make your choices at www.RockHall.com. Voting ends Monday.

“VIDEO GAME AWARDS” DEC. 7: 25-YEAR-OLD LIVING IN PARENTS’ BASEMENT TO ACCEPT “LIFETIME ACHIVEMENT” HONOR

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Spike Video Game Awards are assembling past hosts.

The cable network announced Thursday that the gaming extravaganza's previous emcees would join "The Avengers" star and four-time VGAs host Samuel L. Jackson at next week's show.

Previous hosts Zachary Levi, Snoop Lion, Jack Black and Neil Patrick Harris are set to appear at the 10th annual ceremony.

The show will also feature debut footage from upcoming games "BioShock Infinite," "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2" and "Tomb Raider," and from downloadable content "Spartan Ops" for "Halo 4" and "The Tyranny of King Washington" for "Assassin's Creed III."

"Assassin's Creed III," "Dishonored," "Journey," "Mass Effect 3" and "The Walking Dead: The Game" are vying for the best game trophy.

The VGAs will air live on Spike on Dec. 7 from Sony Picture Studios in Culver City, Calif.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Melissa Rycroft finally has her mirror-ball trophy. She wins season 15 of “Dancing With the Stars.” She and pro partner Tony Dovolani beat out finalists actress Kelly Monaco and Olympian Shawn Johnson in last night’s finale of the All-Stars edition. Both Monaco and Johnson were prior champs. Johnson was this season’s runner-up. Going into the finale, Rycroft said she felt like a champion. After winning, she and Dovolani thanked fans for their support.

NEW YORK (AP) – Angus T. Jones says he’s sorry. Jones issued an apology last night, saying he never intended to show “disrespect” for his colleagues on “Two and a Half Men.” He says he’s been “blessed” with an extraordinary opportunity by being on the show. The statement comes after Jones said he doesn’t want to be on the show anymore because he thinks it’s “filth.” Jones made the earlier comments in videos posted on a religious Web site.

SUSIE GENOWAYS, 62

Susie Genoways, 62, of Bayard, passed away peacefully with family and friends with her, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.  Her memorial service will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Faith United Church of Christ in Bayard with Pastor Tom Smith officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Susie’s honor be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date.  Online condolences may be left and memorial candles in Susie’s honor may be lit at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com.  Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Bridgeport is in charge of arrangements.

     Susie was born in Creston, IA on September 29, 1950 to Bernard and Frances (Mosley) Miller.  She grew up north of Omaha, NE.  She married Austin Genoways on July 12, 1969 in Council Bluffs, IA and to this union two daughters were born; Julie Hammack and Lynn Genoways.  They moved to Bayard in 1973 where she worked at Great Western Sugar for over 20 years.

     She is survived by her husband Austin of Bayard; daughters Julie (Pat) Hammack of Gering and Lynn Genoways of Omaha, NE; mother Frances Miller of Fort Calhoun, NE; brother David (Susie) Miller of Fort Calhoun, NE; sister in law Patty Miller of Omaha, NE; grandchildren USMC PFC Jabe Hammack currently stationed in Pensacola, FL, Kaleb Hammack, Mitchell Hammack and Dylan Hammack of Gering.

     Her father Bernard Miller, brother Timothy Miller and grandson Seth Hammack preceded her in death.
