AG ECONOMIC OUTLOOK SESSIONS WED IN SB AND WHITMAN

Brad Lubben
UNL Extension Policy Specialist Brad Lubben

The University of Nebraska brings its 8th annual Cornhusker Economics Outlook program to the Panhandle and Sandhills tomorrow with sessions from 9-11:30 at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff and from 3-5:30 at the Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory in Whitman. Participation is free.

UNL Extension Educator Tom Holman says the outlook meetings provide a concise, fast-paced discussion of crop, livestock, and farm policies. Holman thinks a key part will be an update on the Farm Bill extension that was included in the fiscal cliff compromise passed on New Year’s.

Presenters at the Cornhusker Economics Outlook sessions will be market analyst and writer Paul Burgener on corn, soybean, and wheat producers… new Extension Livestock Economist Kate Brooks on beef and pork…and UNL Extension Policy Specialist Brad Lubben on ag policy and the farm bill.
