Two members of the Nebraska Cornhusker football team are visiting the Panhandle this week on the  Fellowship of Christian Athletes  Western Nebraska Husker Tour, talking about their faith in Jesus Christ and how it shows in their lives both on and off the field.

FCA Western Nebraska Area Director Nate Lewis says the tour visits different towns in the western third of the state each year, with this year’s stops in Scottsbluff and Chadron.

One of this year Huskers has already made something of a name for himself…running back Imani Cross, expected to be the top backup for Ameer Abdulla next season. The other will take the field for the first time this fall, redshirt linebacker Mike Rose.

Lewis says they’ll be at a 5th Quarter Party tonight in the Scottsbluff High School gym immediately after the Scottsbluff-Gering basketball games, and in the Scottsbluff High cafeteria tomorrow morning at 10:00 during the Lions Club Youth Basketball Tournament.

Then they’ll head up to Chadron and Chadron State College for a 5th Quarter Party in the Armstrong Gym at the end of the Eagles’ basketball games Saturday night with Colorado Mines.

FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in the world and focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
