Fresh off a strong start to the season at the Cowboy Open in Laramie, Wyo., the Chadron State College wrestling team will square off against several Division II foes at the Colorado Mesa University Open Saturday in Grand Junction, Colo.
Chadron State interim head coach Brett Hunter said 20 grapplers will be competing Saturday.
“I don’t think the competition will be as steep as it was last week at Wyoming but we are going to see some colleges from the west that will pose some challenges,” Hunter said.
Following Saturday’s action at Mesa, the Eagles will travel to the University of Nebraska-Kearney Open Nov. 17.
The Eagles’ first home dual is scheduled for Dec. 5 against Dickinson State.
