CHADRON – The White team won eight matches, including five by pin, to upend the Reds during the annual instrasquad scrimmage for the Chadron State wrestling team Thursday at the Nelson Physical Activity Center.

The White team won seven of the first eight matches and four of those earned six team points because the ended in pins.

Those were winning matches for the White team were Ryley Dawson at 285 pounds, Jay Stine and Jace Johnson at 125, Perry McAfee at 133, Phil Bullington at 157, Dustin Stodola at 133, Leandro Arias at 141 andBryce Wiedeman at 157.

The Red winners were Jordan Debus at 184, CJ Clark at 149, Dylan Fors at 165, Bret Klopp at 174, Devan Forsat 197 and Mike Hill at 285.

Chadron State will open its regular season Saturday at the University of Wyoming Cowboy Open in Laramie, Wyo.
