The Chadron Cardinals have two top-10 finishers in this year’s Western Conference Golf Tournament. Jayden Stack carded an 83 Thursday for eighth and Keenan Johnson shot 85 for 10th.
Playing on its home course Chadron finished third as a team with 346 strokes, trailing tournament
champion Scottsbluff’s 317 and Sidney’s 325. Gering and Alliance came in fourth and fifth.
Scottsbluff’s Jared Pilkington won the event with a 77. He was one of three Bearcats to finish in the top four.
Rounding out the Chadron scorecard is Corbin Johnson with an 88, Cody Ray’s 90 and Tyler Reitz with 100 strokes.

Hemingford, Crawford and Hay Springs competed Thursday during the Chadron Invite, which was rolled into the Western Conference event. Jacob Horstman paced Hemingford with 81 stokes, Blaine Flack led Crawford with 86 and Hay Springs got its top score from Drew Letcher who ended with a 93.
