Vehicle Parking “Prohibited” on Main Street during the Fur Trade Parade

The City of Chadron is gearing up for the annual Fur Trade Days weekend. On Saturday, July

11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. the annual parade will begin. The parade will start at Tenth Street and

proceed north on Main Street to First Street. Starting Thursday night, the Chadron Police

Department will be placing “Parade Notices” on vehicles parked along the parade route to

remind residents of the parade and asking them not to park vehicles on the parade route during

the designated time of the parade. These “parade notices” will also be distributed on Friday

night as well.

Having vehicles removed from the parade route promotes safety for parade participants and for

parade viewers. The Chadron Police Department asks everyone in the community for their

assistance by making sure if they have a vehicle parked along the parade route Saturday morning

to have it removed prior to the parade beginning. Our goal is to have all parked vehicles along

the parade route moved before 9:00 A.M.

The Chadron Police Department appreciates the communities support and wishes everyone a

happy and safe Fur Trade Days weekend.
