According to Scottsbluff Operations Captain Tony Straub, “At 11:03am on Tuesday Officers from the Scottsbluff Police Department were dispatched to the Gas A Mat gas station in the 100 block of South Beltline east. Officers were advised of a stolen vehicle at that location that had been reported  stolen earlier in the morning from Weld County Colorado. Apparently the On-Star system was active and the vehicle was traced to the gas station. Scottsbluff Officers along with Deputies from the Scotts Bluff County Sheriffs Department conducted a high risk stop on the vehicle which led to two juveniles being arrested. The juveniles were from Colorado and one was an active runaway. Investigation revealed the stolen pickup belonged to a relative of one of the juveniles.”
