Track Fund Continues to Grow

Track Thermometer

Donations continue to come in to the Alliance Public School’s “Save the Track ” committee.  AHS Activities Administrator Chris Bailey announced on Monday the new total stands at $43,564.81. That is after just over 2 months of fundraising.  AHS Alumni,  Local businesses, Service Organizations and Community Members have come forward with donations and more are expected. The Committee has placed a “Thermometer” style sign at 14th and Box Butte, near the AHS practice fields, to track the fund raising progress. The Fundraising committee hopes to raise $600,000 to build a new track at Bulldog Stadium.

Anyone wishing to make a donation can contact Chris Bailey at Alliance High School at 308-762-3359. Various donation levels are available including Naming Rights for the Track or Alliance Invite, Running Lanes, Throwing Rings, Runways and Jump Pits.  Donors will also be recognized on a Monument Plaque which will be placed at the track entrance, as well as a track map that will be placed at Bulldog stadium.
