TOM CRUISE HAS A HIT ON HIS HANDS; MORGAN FREEMAN THINKS WE’LL BE LIVING IN TREES

Oblivion

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Tom Cruise has a hit on his hands. “Oblivion” opened on top with $38 million.

“42,” slips to second after one week on top, but stayed strong with $18 million. “The Croods” is third, followed by “Scary Movie 5” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.”

Morgan Freeman’s view of the future isn’t as bleak as the one portrayed in “Oblivion,” but he says he thinks we’ll be living in trees and hunting for our food.

Freemon thinks we’ll be walking everywhere because there’d be no more cars and he predicts “the planet will be rejuvenated” and “we wouldn’t be killing off all the animals just to feed us.”
