Chadron State College’s women’s basketball program is hosting a shooting camp today (Friday) and a good turnout is expected. Head Coach Tim Connealy:
All skill levels are welcome and Coach Connealy says they break down campers’ shots and will even build from the very ground floor upward if needed. The philosophy is to get campers shooting properly now so they can help their current teams, but also be prepared for higher levels of competition where it’s more difficult to change a shot style.
Coming off an 8-18 season Coach Connealy’s team is hoping to build additional leadership skills to help the Eagles power through difficult game situations or stretches during the season as the team looks to improve. Helping teach in summer camps is part of the process for Connealy’s players to become great leaders.
Who knows, maybe one of today’s campers could become a shooting superstar for the Eagle women and Coach Connealy on their way to an RMAC title in a few years…
