A Sidney woman who pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree domestic assault for stabbing her boyfriend with a pair of scissors in December despite her claims he’d accidentally stabbed him has been sentenced to 10 months in jail.
30-year old Alicia Green won’t spend anywhere near that much time behind bars, though, because she was given credit for more than 9 months of time already served.
Police responded to Green’s apartment after receiving a report of a disturbance and found her barricaded inside. After officers were able to get a key and enter, they found Ronald Conger with a stab wound in his left arm.
Green said Conger had come over to get his belongings, that they’d begun arguing because she thought he’d stolen money from her, and that he’d accidentally stabbed himself with the scissors while trying to stab her.
