Sheridan County will apparently have a new County Assessor come January.
Trudy Winter, who just last month defeated an attempt by the state to raise ag land assessments in the county, lost to challenger Amanda Salisbury 615 to 596 or 50.8% to 49.2%. That’s a margin of 19 votes.
Sheriff Terry Robbins, who took office after the 1990 death of Jim Talbot, won reelection again, beating Deputy Scott DeCoste 898-351 or 72%-28%.
Sheridan County had a voter turnout of 36%.
