Ruth Zurn, 84, passed away, Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at her home surrounded
by her family.

She was born Coyee Ruth Rice on May 29, 1934 to Coy Raymond and Winifred
(Tibbits) Rice.

On July 25, 1952 she was united in marriage to Donald Oscar Zurn. To this union
7 children were born.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of Alliance and a member of the United Methodist
Church. She worked alongside her mother and father at Grandview Grocery for
many years.  Bowling was a passion of Ruth’s as she bowled on many different
leagues.  Ruth’s hobbies were gardening, ssewing, reading and she loved watching
all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in school and sporting events.

Ruth is survived by her children, Donald (Cindy) Zurn of Alliance, Steven (Patricia)
Zurn of Casper, WY, Donna (Kenneth) McEowen and David Zurn of Alliance, Barbara
(Trini) Rangel of Elizabethton, TN, Joan Marko (Dale Beed) of La Jolla, CA and
Debroah (Glenn) Lawson of Alliance.  She is also survived by her grandchildren,
Curt Zurn, Clint Zurn, Brandi List, Kevin Zurn, Stephanie Zurn, Darlene Bailey,
Jonathan Zurn, Daniel McEowen, Joshua Zurn, Tierza Roosa, Chase Rangel,
Janae Rangel, Eliana Rangel, Tara Callahan and Anthony Marko and 19 great-
grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her son-in-law,
Paul Callahan and her sisters, Rosemary Keenan, Ramona Martin and Betty Rice.

Memorial services will be Monday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist
Church with Jeanie Sedivy officiating.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Alliance
Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or Regional West Hospice.
