CHADRON – Derrell Williams of Wayne State and Chadron State’s Kattie Ranta are the Nebraska Division II Players of the Week.

Williams, a 6-foot-4 forward from St. Clair Shores, Mich., averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds over the weekend, while shooting 53.6 percent from the field.

On Friday Williams had 17 points and eight rebounds, while Saturday he had 20 points and seven rebounds.

Ranta, a 6-foot junior from Rapid City, S.D., averaged 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds over the weekend. On Saturday Ranta had a double-double against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

On the season, Ranta is averaging 15.2 points per game to go along with 8.2 rebounds. Both Marks lead the Eagles.
