The Nebraska Department of Roads has posted the draft Corridor Development and Management Plan for the portion of the Heartland Expressway. The document, developed over the past two years, provides the research and anticipated cost/benefit analysis to justify building a four-lane expressway from the Nebraska/Colorado line through Kimball, Scottsbluff/Gering, Alliance, and Chadron, and connecting with the existing four-lane highway at the Nebraska/South Dakota line.

The public is encouraged to provide comments regarding the plan. Comments will be accepted until May 29, 2014.
