POLSLEY NAMED TO SB REGIONAL 2ND-TEAM

CSC SB 14 Polsley left stareChadron State College pitcher Kylee Polsley has been named to the 2014 Daktronics Softball South Central Region Second Team.

Polsley, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, who also earned second team honors from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, went 16-8 in the circle for the Eagles. She set a school record with 16 victories and led the RMAC with four shutouts.

For the season, she posted an earned run average of 3.20 and struck out 120 batters. Both marks led the RMAC.

Polsley was dominant during the conference portion of the Eagles’ season, posting a 14-2 record and a 2.79 ERA. In 108 innings of work against RMAC foes she struck out 86 batters and tossed 15 complete games in 17 starts.

The Chadron State softball team went 28-23 in 2014, setting a school record for most wins in a season.

The South Central Region Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year both play for West Texas A&M. The Player of the Year is Renee Erwin and the Pitcher of the Year is Rita Hokianga.
