The Panhandle is bracing for possible Winter Weather conditions later this week. According to Timothy Trudel, a Forecaster for the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, a potent Pacific storm system will move into the central Rocky Mountain region on Thursday night and could potentially linger through early Friday across Southeast Wyoming and Western Nebraska. Most of these areas are expected to see much colder temperatures with possible, single digit wind chills, along with some snow accumulation. The affected area will generally be along and east of Interstate 25. Folks in Western Nebraska should prepare for some snow ,with the possibility of blowing and drifting snow, and gusty winds. Total snowfall amounts are unknown at this time, however travelers, local residents, farmers and ranchers should be aware of significant amounts of cold air, winds and snow that could affect our region.
