HEBRON, Neb. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of one person and the wounding of another at a southeast Nebraska home.

Thayer County sheriff’s deputies sent early Saturday morning to investigate a reported shooting found the two at a home in Hebron. The Thayer County Sheriff’s Office says one of the people was pronounced dead later at Thayer County Health Services. The other person was flown to an unnamed hospital for treatment.

The people’s names haven’t been released. The sheriff’s office says the shooting was not random and that there is no threat to the public.
