A 31 year old Alliance man is facing numerous charges after being taken into custody following the search of a residence in Alliance on Tuesday, July 7th. Investigators from the WING Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Alliance Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol, executed a search warrant at the residence of Erwin “Mike” Sample in the Meadows Trailer Court. A quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, packaging materials used in the distribution of methamphetamine, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia and three firearms were seized in the search.

Sample was taken into custody without incident and will be charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine-10 to 28 grams (Class 1D Felony), Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp (Class 4 Felony), possession of more than an ounce and less than a pound of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing and additional search warrants are anticipated.
