Nebraska Flying Event will Return to Norfolk in 2017

NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska State Fly-In will return to Norfolk next year when the event marks its 25th anniversary.

Organizers are excited to host the event on June 24 because it will coincide with the state’s 150th birthday. The last time the event was held in Norfolk was in 2012.

Airport manager Terri Wachter says she is really looking forward to the event, and the big crowd it will bring to the area. An air show will accompany the fly-in event.

Organizers are now working on recruiting volunteers to help with the event and arranging for historic planes to take part.
