Naomie “Margie” Hardy, 83, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska.
Margie was born in Cody, Nebraska on June 29, 1931. She spent her school years in Alliance Nebraska graduating in 1950.
Margie was a life-time resident of Alliance excluding a couple of years she spent in California. She enjoyed the simple things in life and her favorite was being a homemaker. She also enjoyed movies, reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, card games, and spending time with family. After retiring from Woolrich, she enjoyed volunteering at the Collection Basket and attending church on Saturday evening’s.
Margie is survived by her two daughters, Vickie Winslow and Rose Hardy; her two grandchildren, Justin Leisy, his wife Arianne, and their two children Gavin and Dylan and Melissa Taylor, her husband Phil and their four children Dauze, Kiayah, Mattie, and Tavynn. She is also survived by her sister, Iona Vandervort, including Iona’s children and their families; and her best friend from junior high, Shirley Smith who resides in Mitchell Nebraska, along with several of Shirley’s family.
Margie was preceded in death by her father Mark Chubb, mother Alta Prall, her son William “Billy” Hoffer, and her daughter Debbie Hoffer.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father John Kakkuzhiyil officiating.
There will be no grave site proceedings, but she will be laid to rest by her son William “Billy” Hoffer at the Alliance Cemetery.
