LOS ANGELES (AP) – She has played some of the sweetest, girl-next-door roles in movies and in TV. But in her new book, Shirley Jones shocks some of her fans who see her forever as the mom in “The Partridge Family” TV show. In the book, Jones talks about her troubled marriage to actor Jack Cassidy – who she calls her first lover and “sexual Svengali.” She also says her ex had a sexual hookup with jazz artist Cole Porter and invited her to take part in a threesome with another woman. Jones says she didn’t care for it. She says she’s writing the book now because she is old enough to tell her story – and feels her audience is grown up enough to read it.
