Junior District Baseball starts at 1:00 this afternoon (Friday) with top-seed Chadron playing six-seed Hershland in Gering.  Even though his club is the top seed, Chadron Coach Jonn McLain knows this tournament won’t be a casual stroll through Oregon Trail Park…

 

Area B7 is always a competitive event and over the course of the regular season that was the case for the Nats.  Chadron was 5-5 against the district, but as Coach McLain said they’ll see a brand new opponent in Hershland first.  McLain is making sure his team stays focused to keep the pressure down.

 

With the pitching depth Chadron has developed McLain has valuable options for setting up his rotation and monitoring inning counts as the tournament unfolds.
