STEVIE NICKS TO JOIN “THE VOICE”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Stevie Nicks is joining “The Voice.” She will be an adviser to Adam Levine’s team for the show’s upcoming seventh season, which is being taped now. Nicks has been working with Levine’s 12-member team as they work on material and coach up the contestants for the show’s battle rounds. Nicks is the first adviser announced for this season — NBC says it will roll out more names as the September 22 season premiere approaches.

CHICAGO TRADE STUDIO FOR HOTEL ROOMS FOR “NOW CHICAGO 36”

SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) — Chicago recorded most of their new album, “Now Chicago 36,” in hotel rooms. Trumpeter Lee Loughnane says they brought recording equipment on the road and they’d work on a song or two on days off from concerts. He says they sometimes rented out a ballroom, because they couldn’t fit all three horns in one room.

Just to be on the safe side, if they recorded in a hotel room, they made sure a member of the band had the rooms on either side. Loughnane says they got no complaints. He says once hotel guests found out it was Chicago, they said, “Oh, that sounds pretty good, then.”

”Now Chicago 36″ is out this week.

PRISCILLA PRESLEY ON ELVIS’ JETS

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Priscilla Presley wants Elvis fans to cool their jets — over plans for two jets that are now on the grounds of Graceland. Fans have been going off on Facebook since The Associated Press reported last week that the tourist magnets “Lisa Marie” and the “Hound Dog II” will likely be removed once a deal to display the planes ends next April. Priscilla Presley took to Facebook herself to address the controversy, asking fans to “please calm down” — adding that talks are under way to resolve the issue.

JACKSON BROWNE, LORETTA LYNN TO GET AMERICANA MUSIC HONOR

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jackson Browne and Loretta Lynn are getting lifetime achievement awards from The Americana Music Association. Brown will get the “Spirit” award for addressing a number of social policy issues during his career. Lynn’s award is for songwriting. The awards will be handed out at an event in Nashville in September.

ALICE COOPER IS INDUCTED INTO CRAVER HALL OF FAME

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Alice Cooper loves White Castle sliders so much, he’s now in the White Castle Craver Hall of Fame. Cooper took a break from his tour to show up for induction at the company’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday. Cooper told the crowd of 250 a lot of his fellow rockers are going to be envious of his honor. When asked how it compares to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cooper said, “There’s no comparison.”
