Jan. 1 – Duck and coot hunting seasons close in Zone 3, Low Plains Unit
Jan. 2-23 – Duck and coot hunting seasons open in Zone 2, High Plains Unit
Jan. 4 – Light goose hunting season closes
Jan. 14 – First day of spring turkey permit sales
Jan. 18 – Nebraska Game and Parks Board of Commissioners meeting, 8 a.m., Omaha, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, 17677 Wright Street
Jan. 18 – Youth, Landowner, Season Choice and River Antlerless deer hunting seasons close
Jan. 18 – Dark goose hunting season closes in North Central Unit
Jan. 19 – Special Public Health Hazard Order crow hunting closes
Jan. 20 – Crow hunting season opens statewide
Jan. 23 – Duck and coot hunting seasons close in Zone 3, High Plains Unit
Jan. 26 – Light goose hunting season opens
Jan. 30 – Dark goose hunting season closes in East Unit
Jan. 31 – Fall turkey hunting season closes
Jan. 31 – November Late Doe/Fawn antelope hunting season closes
Jan. 31 – Squirrel hunting season closes
Jan. 31 – Grouse hunting season closes
Jan. 31 – Pheasant, quail and partridge hunting seasons close
