Box Butte County 4-H members kick off National 4-H Week with a group photo announcing a food drive to benefit the local food pantry. 4-H and community members are urged to drop your food off at the Box Butte County Extension Office at 415 Black Hills throughout the week. Food collected will be delivered to the food pantry on October 15.

Cash donations or script for the local grocery stores will also be welcome. More than 6 million young people across the country will be celebrating National 4-H Week, which takes place annually during the first full week of October.

Box Butte County 4-H observes National 4-H Week to celebrate the great things that the 4-H youth development program offers young people — and highlights the incredible 4-H young people who each day work to a make a positive impact on their community.
