Lincoln, Neb. – Junior Ray Gallegos scored 20 points to lead the Nebraska men’s basketball team to a 63-51 victory over Southern California on Monday night at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The Huskers improve to 6-1 following the win over the Trojans. Gallegos was one of two Huskers to score double figures on Monday night, going 6-for-10 behind the three-point line. Senior Dylan Talley added 14 points for Nebraska.
The Huskers built a 33-25 lead at halftime and extended it to as high as 20 in the second half. The Trojans had three players in double figures: J.T. Terrell (14), Bryon Wesley (12) and Jio Fontan (11).
