Cash Weber, a 2013 graduate of Hemingford High School, is the recipient of the Margaret and Donald Williams Memorial Art Scholarship given by Carnegie Arts Center.
The $1,000 award is presented annually to a Box Butte County high school senior who will major or minor in the visual arts in college.
The scholarship, funded by former Alliance resident Peggy Williams Doole and her husband, Bill, is given in honor of Peggy Doole’s parents, Margaret and Donald Williams.
Cash currently has seven works of art displayed in the Carnegie Arts Center’s “Dimensions 2013” show, including three first place and two honorable mention awards.
The show is exhibited in the Skala-Garwood Gallery until Sunday, May 19.
