A 19 year old Gering man will be sentenced September 5th after pleading No Contest to 2 counts of 1st degree sexual assault on a minor. Prosecutors dropped a third identical charge in return for the plea from Marco Garcia.

Garcia was accused of having sex with a 12 year old girl once and with a 14-year old girl twice, with both girls telling authorities he knew they were underage.

Court documents show Garcia’s incidents with the 14-year old both occurred in January…the first time at the house of friend of his and the second in his car in the country.

The documents also allege that Garcia first made contact with the 12-year old on Facebook and he ended up coming over to her house in mid-February and having sex.
