GERING, Neb. (AP) – A 60-year-old Gering man has been indicted on federal child pornography charges
The Scottsbluff Star-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1brN3so ) that Richard Rinker was indicted earlier this week on one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
If convicted, Rinker faces up to 60 years in federal prison.
Rinker also faces charges in state court. He’s charged in Scotts Bluff County District Court with four counts of possessing child pornography.
The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office says in court records a computer involved in child porn file sharing was registered to Rinker. Police say a search warrant turned up four images of child pornography involving children as young as 4 on Rinker’s computer.
