TEAMS STILL NEEDED FOR GARWOOD MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT JULY 19

The seventh annual Mike “Muzzy” Garwood Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, July 19 at Skyview Golf Course near Alliance.

The 4-person, 18-hole Scramble will begin at 12 Noon.

The entry fee is $75.00 a person or $300 per team, which includes green fees, cart rental (personal carts are welcome) mulligans, steak dinner and flag prizes. Social tickets are available for $25.

The tournament is limited to the fist 36 teams. To register, contact Doug Dietrich at 762-1446.

Revenue realized from the golf tournament will be used for Alliance High School scholarships and upgrades to the weight room.

Garwood, a 1967 graduate of Alliance High School, was associated with KCOW Radio for 32 years.   He passed away in December, 2007, at the age of 58.    Mike spent the last 34 years of his life in a wheelchair following a 1973 diving accident.  However, he seldom missed a home Bulldog football or basketball game.

For your convenience, the Alliance High School Boys Golf Team will be selling lunch from 11 am until tee time.
