Cheyenne is warming up for the annual Frontier Days rodeo.
Volunteers on horseback and in wagons drove about 550 steers from ranchland north of the city to the rodeo grounds at Frontier Park Sunday. The steers will be used in bull-dogging, roping and other rodeo competition.
The PRCA – Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association – rodeo doesn’t start until Saturday and runs through Sunday the 27th, but other rodeo events begin on Tuesday.
Frontier Days concert performers this year include Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Kid Rock and Brad Paisley.
