The public is invited to a BBQ picnic on Friday, Aug. 21, with an opportunity to meet and visit with State Senator Al Davis from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CLC Building, 723 Flack Ave in Alliance. (The CLC is next to the Dairy Queen.)
There will be BBQ pork, soda, and family fun, according to Lance Flohr, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.
“I encourage folks to bring their families and stop by to enjoy some delicious BBQ and some good conversation with Senator Davis,” said Flohr. “This event will provide our working families an opportunity to visit with the Senator about any concerns they have as well as to show their support for the work the Senator has done for our legislative district.”
“Senator Davis is a champion for children and education. He supports our schools and teachers and understands that education is key to prosperity and is an economic driver,” said Shannon Yetter, Alliance Education Association. “I encourage folks to stop by to meet the Senator and enjoy some BBQ.”
“This is a great opportunity for working folks to meet with their state senator,” said Pat Pfeiffer, State Legislative Chairman of the BLET. “Al Davis has exactly the kind of leadership qualities we want for our representative. He’s a straight talking, no nonsense, intelligent problem solver that we desperately need in Lincoln.”
“Al Davis is a strong advocate for working families, fiscal responsibility and sensible government,” said Kim Quick, Teamsters Local 554 President. “I encourage voters and their families in District 43 to stop by the BBQ, enjoy a meal, and meet and visit with Sen. Davis.”
