Frank Knight, 1963 AHS Photo
Former Alliance banker Frank Knight, 68, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Sun City, Arizona, following a heart attack.
Frank was born in Norfolk, NE on June 29, 1944, to Edward and Ruth Knight. His family moved to Alliance following World War II in 1945.
He graduated from Alliance High School in 1963.
An avid golfer, Knight worked at the Alliance Safeway Store before joining Alliance National Bank in 1966, where he served for 22 years, several as a vice-president.
During his time in Alliance, Frank was active in the Alliance United Way, and served on the board of directors of Alliance National Bank and the Knight Museum Foundation.
Frank left the bank in 1988, and moved to Sun City, AZ where he worked as a realtor and enjoyed playing the golf courses of Arizona for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Brian.
He is survived by his brother, Robert, of Sun City, AZ, and his daughter, Celinda, also of Sun City.
Frank was cremated, and, at this time, memorial services are not planned.
Memorials may be sent to the Knight Museum and Sandhills Center in Alliance or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
