The Gering school board Wednesday night selected the four finalists for their Superintendent position.

The four finalists, all Nebraska administrators, are Travis Miller, Superintendent at Bayard; Robert Porter, Wallace Superintendent; Troy Unzicker, Kimball Superintendent; and Bob Hastings, Director of Teaching and Learning at Norfolk and a former Scottsbluff principal.

Board President Mike Brunner said the four had the administrative experience and communication and budget skills the board was looking for.

Brunner says the interview process will take place next week and they hope to offer a contract for someone to consider next Sunday. Brunner says the plan is for the board to confirm their selection at their board meeting February 18th.
